Department Profile

The Dept. of Philosophy of Karimpur Pannadevi College started its journey in 1968. Although the general course in philosophy was initiated with the origin of the institution in 1968, the Honours course was introduced in the year 1997.

Philosophy is a non-lab based subject. Our esteemed faculty members intensively discuss the core areas of the subject through the informative lecture base methods. Subject materials are provided to the students for their better understanding. Students are motivated to pursue higher studies to enhance their wisdom and compete in various state and national level examinations. With this objective of mind, the teachers of the department organize class lectures, interactive sessions, tutorial classes through which the student can get a broader perspective of the latest philosophical developments. Moreover, a number of good quality rare books along with contemporary syllabus based books are in collection of the department.
